There is a great music book shope near me but alas its all for guitars very little Bass.

I am a big fan of the Stranglers and picked up an old Stranglers guitar book. It has the chords along the top for instance A D E...can I play these just as root notes and play along?

Boring I know but I am a newbie looking to start playing along with some of my favourite tunes. I have however been checking out all the bass web sites on the net, and yours, is by far the best. As a beginner I think the first lot of videos are brilliant for easing you into it and have really inspired me to find the time to pick up the bass and get those fingers walking. So much that I wonder if its possible to have an mp3 file of the beats on the beginners ...
