Hi folks I became a Christian 3 years ago, I lived 60 miles from Detroit on the Canadian side, so Motown and rock music were my influences. So when I became a Christian I was immediately attracted to Christian rock,I also play in the worship band at church, being a newbie to the bass, i was thrown right into the fire, thank God for chord sheets lol. Anyway I am wondering if there are any other folks that have heard good Christian rock, or you may have some good tips for me. Thanks Glenn

I've written a little piece which originated from some bassline I thought up. The thing is called Peculiar, and Rik de Kort, that's me Now I've about finished it, I'd like to experiment. I've taken out the bassline in it and I would like for you to add a bassline. Then we can compare

Probably a couple more to come! I'm a bit gutted though, my phone doesn't have much disk space & it ran out after 5 songs or so - missing out the awesome funk blues song I got to play, involving some slap bass

Soooo.... I play the bass there and we played sunday. Today I found out it had been recorded and have got my hands on the files. It's audio only and the mix is a bit wacky at times, but I must say it went quite well as our first performance

(Also my first performance playing the bass)

I've been playing for a bit more than a year now and have been playing with these guys for like 3-4 months.

CC please ^^

This thread is going to be where I dump my band's (if you can call two people and a computer that is occasionally used for a drum beat a band) vids. And as you can probably already see, the band is called Funk Mail

Here's our first vid, us playing Purple Haze. Mistakes and all in here, and even a cheesy intro where I'm almost in hysterics for no apparent reason, put on a weird variation of my voice, and a failed attempt at Pow I slap the intro, as it sounded better ...
