 Broken Tuning Peg

So over the summer i was with my friend on vacation. He was being stupid and dropped my bass and the tuning peg fell off. What should i do?

I'd go to a guitar shop. They can usually fix it for you, or know someone who can.

The entire thing or just the part you actually turn?

If there still is a prong there (the crank just fell off) you can always grab some plyers and manage that way!

Inconvienent, yes. But it does the job 'til you can replace it
