I failed this time. Tuning one string a half step up means you either have to tune the other one too, or play it one fret higher.

G ------------4-3--1--1-4-3------(Cool-------
D#-0--0-2-3-----------------3-0-----------
A --------------------------------------------
E --------------------------------------------
This is it, then?

I’m thinking of saving this one as an outro. =D

This is just a crazy idea, which will not be fulfilled(if I even attempt it) until I get a decent camera. But I thought I'd just throw it out there: would anyone at all be interested in bass how-to videos of every track off Metallica's Kill 'Em All album? This is the track listing(just for anyone who doesn't know it):

1. Hit the Lights
2. The Four Horsemen
3. Motorbreath
4. Jump in the Fire
5. (Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth
6. Whiplash
7. Phantom Lord
8. No Remorse
9. Seek & Destroy
10. Metal Militia

I'm definitely willing to record and upload all of them, with the exception of Anesthesia which would be a "maybe." I know Cliff never really played it the same way twice but I would still like to get as close to the studio track as possible. So I'll record that one if I can figure out enough of it to please me, haha.

Once again, this would not happen for several months, but I would love to start recording by the end of the year. Gives me plenty of time to burn every song into my brain(and bust my balls over Anesthesia), haha. I was just throwing the idea out there, wondering if anyone would appreciate me doing that sometime. Surprised

That,my friend,would be awsome!

EPIC WIN! Very Happy I think the ending should be 4 C's/3 on A strings instead of C#'s/4 on A strings though. ...I might be wrong however Razz

i havent been on for a while, but my exams are over now Smile. Im going to update my cant stop tab to the wway i play it now, which is changing the verse rythm, the bridge becomes more complex and a little solo i picked up from watchin a vid of john F live and changeing one of his fills to bass, so that should be done soon.

I will be coming on more often now that im off school for 2 weeks, so looking forward to running into people in the chatbox

I would like to thank you all.

These are very inspirational. I have been 'messing about ' with my bass for two years and yeah I can play a few tunes but not really progressed as much as I would like.

Mainly because I just play along to the Ipod. I moved to a foreign country (sweden) and dont know anybody to jam with which I think need to improve. I was at the point of selling off my bass and buy a guitar and keyboard. However watching a few of Dmans clips and your posts I realise I love the sound of the bass too much to give it up.

Thanks and keep it up boys!
