Eluveitie
Its a celtic metal band from Switzerland.
I assume a few people on the forum would have heard them. But for those who haven't, you really should.
No matter what genre you listen to, it will appeal to you in some way, hopefully.
Thousandfold - Single from the new album due 19th Feb
Inis Mona - Basically the crowd favourite, amazing song.
I've been in love with them for about a week now. I just can't stop listening!

Re: Eluveitie
I saw them live last summer. The were pretty good. Kinda reminds me bit of bands like Metsatöll, Skyforger, Mithoty, Waylander, Moonsorrow, Korpiklaani, Kivimetsändruidi...

Re: Eluveitie
As you know, I reckon it's excellent, discounting the vocals. Not my thing at all.
In fact I absolutely hate the vocals, 'cause they make me unable to listen to what's clearly a great band

Any band that uses bag pipes has my vote XD
The swiss are crazy ( in a good way )
ALTHOUGH..........I used to love these type of vocals in my young days... but now I find it hard to listen to it...
must be getting old

Re: Eluveitie
I'm ok with Eluveitie's vocals to a point tho it's not my favourite aspect of the band, I just love the mixture of celtic instruments with the hardness of the electric ones, nice and layered without either one drowning the other out.
I enjoy the unusual so anything like that appeals, the track above btw is great, celtic instruments seem to fit with hard rock/punk very well.
In the same way I love the way Sirenia use choirs etc in their work, lush is the only way I can describe the difference it makes to the sound.

Re: Eluveitie
Drakon 7! You are both an asshole and a saint! A saint for sharing this lovely sound with me/the forum. And an asshole because it's so damned good it's all I'll be able to listen to for weeks.
Thanks though
Thanks though

Re: Eluveitie
I freakin' ADORE Eluveitie. Their latest album is superb.
I'm actually seeing them for the first time at Paganfest this year. Woop!
I've pretty much been addicted to Thousandfold since I first heard it. Yep.
