Slap and pop, Dman style
Noob bass thing to ask, but on dmans' vids of Slap and pop how do you get that sound? I cant get that to save my life, if i could get some help it would rock!

not sure but most likely is that he uses a slight boost to bass and treble frequencies

What vid are you talking about my friend? All the vids have a slight sound difference.

I also had trouble trying to recreate that sound when I was learning slap n' pop off that vid. I thought you needed that sound to make it sound good

i got the slap and pop down but when comes to muted slap pop i have no idea wat to do

Find a sound that works for YOU. If you try to mimic someone elses tone, you'll be disappointed, unless you have EXACTLY the same equipment as Dman (and even then basses and other equipment are all different, even if they're from the same range of basses, and even if they look exactly the same in every single way)
Just rest your hands on the strings (note *rest* your hands, don't push down hard), then slap and pop as normal.
