I quite like to use coins as plectrums, does anyone know if this is really bad for my Strings/Bass?

i was expecting a suggestion thread for making money....but the song money would be more likely. anyways, i think itd probably damage the strings cause the edges of coins are rough as ive noticed and theyd probably scratch the strings and wear them down.

Basically yeah I agree with both David and Maxyman. Rough, will wear strings down eventually and sounds shit.
