Damn hammer-ons and pull-offs

Post  Nocturnal_Pulse on Fri Oct 08, 2010 2:43 am

OKAY I AM PISSED.

I need help. I try and I try I TRY I TRY to *#&*#&*# hammeron/pulloff successfully but I bet my brain doesnt know the right way to do it.

Songs like californication or sex&candy arent really hard but contain that friggin hammeron/pulloff that my fingers DENY to do.

Explain please the technique Sad Sad

PS. I only do guitar like hammerons, where the strings are very thinner. When they're thick I am having problem, nothing comes out of the amp lol

Sounds like a strength issue since you can do it on guitar.

I'm the opposite. I can hammeron/off fine on bass strings and guitar strings that are wound, but on the three unwound strings on guitar I'm terrible Razz

I don't usually play guitar unless I'm super bored and there's one around. From what I can remember, the hammerons/pulloffs felt empty, like there were no strings, but that's 12 years of bass strings playing tricks on me.
