Music College
Hello, I recently enrolled at a music college to study a level 3 course in Music Performance, and I realised that I had never been in a proper "Jam" situation and I got pretty nervous thinking about it.
I've tried, but all my musician friends live an awkward distance away and it's hard to get anything organised, but when we have got one organised it gets a bit lazy and we just end up drinking and sitting around listening to music instead of playing (My 2 close friends who both play guitar are fairly new to it and aren't that comfortable and scared about getting laughed at etc, which is of course nonsense)
Is this something I shouldn't really bother worrying about or is it something I should definitely get comfortable with before I go?
Also, do you have any tips for a first jam? I really don't know exactly how it works, so to speak
Thanks!

Re: Music College
Look up how a blues works and start with that. Everyone can play a blues.

Re: Music College
I'd definitely worry about it, but I worry about anyone judging my playing. If you don't have people to jam with, you can go to youtube and type in "bass backing track" and they are specifically there of different genres for you to jam and have fun with. Same concept as Dman's jam videos.
