Hey all! I'm looking to buy a new bass within the next two months and I really wanna get a 5 String. I've been learning a few songs of late that require me to use a 5 string so I've had to make a rendition of the songs.
I'm not cheap but I'm not made of money so I'm looking for something in the Mid range.
So are there any recommendations on what to get?

(Ibanez GRS205) Thats looks pretty sweet. I like the look.

I'd go for an Ibanez SR series bass.

Dont think you can go wrong with an Ibanez. I play with a SR305. Amazing bass. If I could afford something in your price range, Id probably just go for the higher end Ibanez SR 5 strings.

i can only say: I LOVE my SR-305!!!!

as already stated somewhere else, it's been greatly built, has a biiiiiig range of sounds due to it's active components and 3-band eq and it simply looks great Smile (Zephir's user-pic is this bass).

buy it Very Happy

you get far more than you expect for that little money!

look into ibanez ATKs, they have a much different feel than the SRs, they are bugger, bigger neck, great sound, i love them. try some out atleast, they are great
