An arpeggio is a group of notes which are played one after the other
In music and music theory a chord is a set of three or more different notes from a specific key that sound simultaneously
While it is possible to play bass Chords they are seldom used. arpeggios are used more often. for example a C Major chord:
G ---0---
D ---2---
A ---3---
E -------
Played as an arpeggio
It would be like such:
G -0---
D ---2---
A ------3---
Or in any other sequence.
Other major chords can be found by taking the 1st, 3rd and 5th note of a major scale.
