swm looking for drum looper program
I'm working on some various etudes.
I'm starting to get tired of playing with myself.
Point me in the direction of a simple (free) loop program with enough variety to keep me busy.

I use ableton live http://www.ableton.com/ which isn't free but I highly recommend it for loop based recording. I can create a backing track to improvise over, dj, produce tracks its great. It is probably more than what you are looking for. The free version on the website has all its functions, but you just can't save your work. Its worth checking out anyway.

Or, audacity. Thats a good free piece of software! Loads of functions as well as being able to download loops and add them.
Or hammerhead studio, just for the sake of making simple loops and practising to them.

I've used hammerhead before. Didn't much care for that, unless you are talking about a newer version. I'll look into the others. Ever used fruity loops?

Yea Reason is a beast. No audio so it sucks that way. But you can still rewire with Ableton and record audio there. Been using Reason for a few years now. Loves it

I just checked out ableton. I'm frickin' sold! I want all that cool hardware, too.
I might just pirate that right now
can you hook a brother up with the Reason link?
Thanks for being helpful, dudes.
Once I get done with these few songs, I'll put them up for you.
