Why not do what I did? I used Audacity and a microphone, recorded the interview, and uploaded an mp3 of the interview to upload-mp3.com. There is literally no potential danger involved in doing that.

You listen? I went and got 2 tattoos and my ears pierced the week I turned 18 just to rub it in my dad's face. Now I have 11. Needless to say, he got over it. Kudos on the respect factor though.

Shame some people still think it's 1945, and, quite frankly, it's moronic.

I'm 17 and i only have 3 rules;
don't get brought home by the cops.
be inside the house at 10pm schoolnights and 1am weekends.
pass my classes.

I recomend telling your mother that your a responsible adult, and you can take care of yourself. If you couldn't at this point then you would be a sad person.
Needless to say you realy must be a responsible adult for respecting the rules, i'd have a tatoo on my forehead if i was in your postion.
(If you talk to her, maybe you can come to an agreement?)

Pretty much the only rule I have is "don't switch on the second light in the living room 'cause mum thinks it's too bright".

I've never had rules against piercings or tattoos or whatever. I also, coincidentally, do not have any piercings or tattoos and do not intend on getting them.

Interviews

Post  willba on Tue Feb 16, 2010 6:28 pm

My parents seem to let me do anything as long as I have my phone on me and it has credit. As for piercings and tatoos, well my brother got a tatoo(that he designed) about 2 days after his 18th birthday.

Overall my parents r pretty laid back, once they got back from a weekend away to find my brother had bought me and some other people aload of alcohol and had messed up the house. They seemed pretty calm about it, didnt blow their minds ^^

Re: Interviews

Post  Smaz on Wed Feb 17, 2010 1:15 am

Before going out, my mum normally asks me if I'm home that night or not. After going out one night, I got back the next day just after lunch once after changing plans and staying at a friends:

Mum: "I thought you were coming home last night?"
Me: "Yeah, cheers for sending out the search party."

I've always been honest with my mum, so I've always been able to do whatever I want since I can remember lol.

As long as I don't wake them up when I stumble around at 3am after coming home... Not normally too good at that one though king

mum knows i want a tattoo (a frog in memory of my auntie) coz ive brought it up several times. i do what im told to get by and its a like it or lump it situation.
i was ment to get my tragus pierced when i turned 18 but ma put a holt on that coz i didn't have a job so my cousin paid for me to have it done as a 21st birthday present so there was nothing ma could do then!

i get shitty but its hard on her being a sole parent. i could wish to have it easier but then my sister, me and mum wouldn't be as close as we are.

Being a single parent is no reason to be so strick, My dad is a single parent with 3 kids, were all really close.

Both my bros have tattoos and I have 10 peircings.

My dad is cool though ^^

It's called 'negging', a technique pickup artists use, well, to pick up a girl.

So De_Fender is subject to the charms of a pickup artist. Resistance is futile!

Yeah, and there's no reason for it. Cowardice, I mean. It's only a number and a red bar for christ's sake... I know if I said something wrong or offensive or whatever, I'd like to be told exactly what it was and why it was offensive so I could refrain from doing it again.
