Re: Singing Bassists
I think you'll find its the Singers the chicks go for
Dudes... Yous are all in the wrong field if its the ladies you are trying to impress.
Unless ofcourse you can upstage the singer, then your in with a chance

I can only think of Slayer with someone as the bassist+singer, tbh i cant see many women at a slayer concert, although of course there are always the hardcore
Would like to see some of the women who love twilight go to a slayer concert and get moshed to sh*t
Im not a hateful person, just be entertaining in the least cruel way possible...

Solo basisits .... now thats a thought... Why be the sexy chick basisit, When I could be the whole band !! Can't sing though

Re: Singing Bassists
Girls do go for the singers. About 99% of the time, those are the hyper popularity-hungry will-fall-for-any-cute-guy types of girls.
Translated into the language of this forum - Twilight fangirls! Yay....
If a girl notices a bass player over a singer or, heaven forbid, a solo guitarist (!), then that girl is actually worth something
This is based on what I've seen in the local area though, but I'm pretty sure it's the same all around the world.
Funny thing, a deeply religious, straight A student girl who is currently studying physics and is extremely well mannered and considerate - likes slayer O.o
So...yea...

STING? From the Police, how did you forget him.
Geddy Lee from Rush (and to quote somebody "the only man to play bass like a black man and sing like a girl")

I was going to say him, but John Lennon was the lead vocals more then him, so i wasn't sure if he counted.

Well he definitely counts now that the rest of them are dead (well, not Ringo, but he's a drummer, so...) while he's still gigging

Re: Singing Bassists

Re: Singing Bassists
Good work Smaz! Incidently, can Dman sing while he plays?
Also I know a few local guys who can sing and play the bass...but their singing is slightly better than cats meowing. XD
