It's a solid attempt. I've tried that song a couple of times, but it's hard as hell on a 5 string (the lowest strings keeps ringing out...).

Firstly, I found out first hand how much you need to retrain timing when it comes to slapping. In my cover of Higher Ground I realized how differently my muscles respond to my brain when I slap, than when I'm playing with my fingers. A good suggestion might be to tab the song out in guitar pro, then slow it down to about 50% and play it note for note as accurately as possible, then speed it up by 3-5% everytime you feel you got the hang of it. It seems like you know where to start and where to finish, but the part in between is a little off, the speed trainer should correct it.

Second, relax man! No one's gonna shoot you. Don't be afraid to make a fool of yourself, if it'll relax you. Put on a silly hat ->

Also, you could try recording yourself 3-4 times, then picking the best one. It should get rid of your shyness in knowing that it's not a once in a life time thing, but that you can fix it. Confidence!

Otherwise it's very decent. Possibly better than my attempt, but I was comparing it to Dan's cover XD

Its not great quality sound but I would really like some feedback on this as its a pretty hard song and it will show up if I have any bad habits going on

I tried to cover the Rob Trujillo solo, very difficult, i may re do it eventually when ive got it 100% correct.

Hey hey! Nice attempt Congratulations on the solo too. I never bother to learn any solos because it's too much to memorize XD

Just one slight remark, get into the song a little more man, it's metal! Whenever you enter the main riff you start getting into it and that's where it stops. The rest of the song it seems like you're afraid to pluck the notes. If you can't hear the song over your playing - use headphones. Next cover put in a little more aggression

Ill redo it at some point, cus ive added some bits to the solo, sounds better now. Maybe tomorrow though....too late for me to bother now, and its brighter when i get home

You've hit the nail on the head there though, I kept listening to the timings and wasnt really focusing much

Unfortunately I havent got anything to record sound directly into my pc(yet) so headphones isnt any option...

Slap, strum & hammer on lick I've just learnt from one of MarloweDK's videos
