Right now I am using a fender rumble 15 for practice. What would a good set up be for a larger rig? Try and keep it cheap, looking for amp and head.

Ashdown do cheap and cheerful bass heads and cabs, I think. They do a MAG series that has good reviews

Don't go with Behringer though, they lie about their power ratings (well not exactly lie, they just don't tell you everything)

Every one lies about their power ratings!

Ashdown, Hartke, Peavey, Trace Elliot are all good bets. Look in the 2nd hand market. If you can get an amp head cheap pay s small price to have it checked over even if they just scoop out some of the dust. Remember you don't need the amp and cab to be matching either. As long as the impedance of the speakers does not go lower than that of the amp!

Orange heads and cabs aren't particularly cheap Laughing

Although Orange do a Terror Bass head which seems pretty good
