I am going to get a new bass soon, i think I want a 5 string but still not 100% what do you all think? I play metal and old school rock

A 5 string is a good option if you want the extra low notes, and it doesn't take long to get used to. What's your budget? (So we can recommend some basses). Although as always, you should always go to a guitar place yourself and try some out to see what's best for you

I would definatly recommend getting a 5 string.
It makes playing stuff in drop tunings just so much easier.
