Lyrics I've written:
"So sit by me, and we'll await this doomsday, it cant be the end of the world if you're here with me. We'll sit back and watch the sky burn. Because together we can survive" - Sky, 2009
"Werent my words pretty enough, or do your heartstrings pluck themselves?" - Hate Refined, 2010
The original trilogy would have been better if Darth Maul hadn't died. I heard this sentence and nearly cried. - Star Wars (I love you), 2005

Lyrics of bands I've been in
"I don’t know what to say to you, You had me feeling lost
A mixed-up and make-do world of learning on my own...
I was always there to throw the ball...
But you were never there to catch it...
You were even dropping ones I never knew I threw..." - Shadow Man, 2010

Lyrics of bands I listen to:
"Just because I leave you, doesn't mean you leave my mind. (I think about you all the time)" - Where the sun never sleeps, Stick to your Guns, The Hope Division, 2010
"In a world that can't (we can) in a world that hates (we understand) we are some kind of love (we're at the end of our rope) we are some kind of hate (we are some kind of hope)" - We are some kind of hope, Stick to your guns, The Hope Division, 2010
Basically any lyrics of that album. Its a masterpeice, really

"Can I smell your gasoline, can I pet your wolverine?" - This Is The Place - RHCP
That's my favourite sentence, but the whole song's lyrics are awesome. I also like Can't Stop.

The whole first verse. I'm not comfortable in posting the lyrics directly, I don't know who may be reading this, so I'll just post a link to the song that contains them. Very Happy

What part of the lyrics do you mean because, even though it's of course an epic song, most of the lyrics do not make that much sense.

The whole song. A little bit of a stretch is needed for a couple points, but for the most part it all makes sense if you think about it as an emo song.

The term emo song is extremely stupid. Emo is short for emotional, and all music is emotional.

'Emo' has been its own genre for years. Pretty much all people are emotional in some way or another but you wouldn't call a biker or a gangster an emo would you?

Nope. That's actually the first time I've heard a Queen song described as an emo song, what's your reasoning Impulse? Not attacking you or anything, just curious Smile

The song itself centers around a fictional 'poor boy' with a horrible, horrible life, describing the actions that he witnesses, and his feelings about/because of them.

While I wouldn't call the song itself emo, the concept is more or less the same style of "poor me" which is most easily seen in emo music.

My take on it at least, and I will say right now that Queen is not emo.

Okay, time to share.
I always love singing This Velvet Glove by RHCP but I guess you all know their songs..
I am also very much in love with The Posies (from Seatlle)
Here's one of their songs, plus lyrics Smile

The Posies - Please Return It

Now, now is the time
Time to reckon
Time to beckon, be surprised
Like a letter
I just sent it, please return it, just forget it
When we live the life we live
It's never ours completely
Not completely
Like a movie, like a style, please return it, please return it
like a favor, like a glance, please return it, please return it

8, 8 is the hour
hour of our trials, ours too sickening to live
please return it
put it back, I take it back, I can burn it
When you let me live my life
You didn't do it completely but you were discreet
Like the year I spent comparing me to you, please return it
Like a servant, like a sewer, please return it, please return it

There's an 'upside' -- there has to be an 'upside'
There's an 'upside' -- there has to be an 'upside'
There's an 'upside'

When you took me by surprise
That's half the fun of everything
Do you miss the point like I do?
In the certainty of friendships you can ask
Please return it
Bring the balance back to you
In returning

There's an 'upside' -- there has to be an 'upside'
There's an 'upside' -- there has to be an 'upside'
There's an 'upside' -- there has to be an 'upside'

If you like it, also check out Every Bitter Drop.. Razz

Ok I'll stop trying to feed you my fav music for now Wink
Cheers! xx Mathilde
