Bass and Guitar Restoration
I've recently restored a Squire Strat Mini for my niece's x-mas present. Here are some pics of the (mostly) finished product. If you have any please post.

Nice work.....was it just paintwork restoration or did you do any other mods.
Nice touch with the red strings

Re: Bass and Guitar Restoration
Yeah, mostly. The other stuff was some re wiring. I got some red pick-up covers, but they didn't fit well. the original knobs were white. I put on some new screws, set up the string height and all that good stuff. nothing too complicated. I knew the Red Devils would be the finishing touch. They sound great. (see Kaida on "Your music".

Cool strings, but honestly. A guitar. How old is the kid? Anyone above the age of 12 has to be a mutant to be able to do anything properly with strings that tiny.

Honestly I worry about normal guitar strings giving me papercuts, those are going to tear her hands to shreds!

Nice, It's always good to get kids starting to play music early on in my opinion. It helps their brain development plus, if she starts now, she'll be really good by the time she's 18.

Yeah, She loves music. She hasn't had the best time, so I'm hoping that this will help.

Because "guitar string cut" is a mouthful.

Re: Bass and Guitar Restoration
Y'know, I'd actually be interested in doing something like this in the future. How would I go about getting a guitar to restore and then how would I restore it? Of course I imagine stuff I'd have to do would vary depending on what needs done. I've got a soldering iron, that's a start I suppose

That jazz looks sweet....nice paint job.
You need an Audere preamp to fiinish her off.
Fingerprints must be your worst enemy with the mirror pickguard
