Suggestions on a bass?
I'm thinking about getting a new one...I already have 3, each of them fills in a hole of another.
Right now I have an Epiphone Thunderbird IV, a Fender electric acoustic, and some cheap brand, ( I think its Lotus?) that was my first bass 8 years ago, and I just turned it into a fretless.
I want something that is good for pursuing slapping/thumping and all that such...any suggestions that are in a decent broke college student's price range?

I think Rockbass may be a good choice, but you can slap on any bass, that fender would be a fantastic starting point.

Perhaps the Ibanez 300 or 400? The Style Sweeper EQ can get you a very, very nice slapping sound. Here's a video of Ed Friedland demonstrating the 400QMCS.
The 300 is around £250-£300. I don't know about the 400, but the 500 is around £450-£500 so I'd expect it to be about £350. I have the 305 and it's a wonderful instrument.
