In my opinion Flea will always be up there with the best. People have and will continue to mock but him, but no one can disagree with me that he is such an influence to ALOT of up starting bassists. I wouldn't have picked up a bass if it were not for flea. I really enjoyed flea's part there and its a credit to him to even be up there with those true living bass legends (pity he was stuck on the side ). Stu Hamm also impressed me alot there. Sheenan, well what he did there i've seen him to before, flea really did something different than were used to.
Enough of flea loving now - check how tight paul turner is here live for jamiroquai

EPIC WIN You've got me addicted to Jamiroquai now; the basslines are so funky!
...A bit off topic but: it's amazing how your musical tastes can change when you pick up a musical instrument... If I heard Jamiroquai or any other band like that before I started bass I wouldn't really have liked them that much...

That is so true!
It completely changes your perspective. Cause you start hearing the music in a different way. Before picking up bass we didnt listen to hard to the lower frequencies.
But it makes you think differently of musicians, too.
Like, before I started playing, I would have said Trujillo was best off being in metallica. Then I ACTUALLY listened to Infection Grooves. and yeah..

I must say, as good as Paul Turner is, I don't think it got much better than Stuart Zender on bass for them...
I just have to THINK of this video for inspiration for funky grooving, the bassline is tighter than a nun's....
