my new bass

As I previously posted Im new to playing bass, in fact any instrument, but today I received my bass so I can start playing. Here it is

Ooh, White. I like white, but I always fear that Itll get dirty, regardless of the fact I know Ill clean it everyday anyways

Believe me: you're gonna see every little f**** bit of dust, fingerprints whatever on a black one also... And cat-hair.... i HATE cathair... aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh

(i've got two cats by the way)...

In fact: it won't get more dirty than with a black bass^^ (or iron pewter, like it's called with my bass)

Sorry I didnt answer sooner but I didnt have internet and thanks to everybody for their comments up to now ive been practicing the simple riffs video and ive been learning the fretboard. For me the bass it definitely looks great and I think it sounds good but I play it thru my home stereo since I dont have an amplifier yet but soon I will get one, by the way will getting a bass amplifier will make a big difference in the sound? I really want one but for now Im not to worried about the sound since I want to learne the fretboard completely and get some speed and consistency. Thanks for all you comments.

Assuming you have a normal stereo, a decent amp will sound alot better. But I saw a special stereo once that was made esp for instruments, so you could like, play the instrument over the CD, instead of having to play though comp speakers + amp etc. BUt yeah. Amps are good, esp with EQ's. gotta have your EQ's.

Theres a thread around somewhere if you're interested on good riffs for beginners to learn, too.

If theres any particular song you want to learn, put it up, Im sure someone here will tell or show you how!

EDIT: And Doc. Ive got a black one [its black black, not any of the various variations of it] and it stays pretty clean..

Mine is black, it gets a lot of fingerprints on it- I try to wipe it down with a cloth once a day though to keep it staying fresh. Also I get tons of dust under the strings and on the pickups. -.-

Mine is sunburst, it stays pretty clean. nothing a good soft rag cant fix, anyways.
