Favorite box
I was just thinking... that because there is sooooo much good information on this site I think it would be handy to have like a favorite box to save thread you like and find helpfull so you can easily find them again when you need them
I know theres the search tool... but sometimes you don't always know the name of what your looking for...

Re: Favorite box
Hmm, the only thing I can think of doing:
At the bottom of the last post on a topic (or last post of a page), you can click 'Watch this topic for replies". Then on the buttons up the top, click profile, then "Topics Being Watched". Either that, or when you're in any of the forums, at the top right of the threads you can click 'Actions!', then 'Topcs Being Watched'. It'll have a list of the threads... It's a bit of an awkward way of doing it, but will keep them all there I think it'll also notify you if anyone posts in them.

Re: Favorite box
This is weird. Learning about syntax and diction to express your appropriate tone in writing... Since you can't use expressions and feelings to convey your point in writing.
Maybe instead of "try having a bookmark folder" you could say... "I find the bookmark folder to be quite useful for my favorites," or something along those lines. (Sorry if this seems rude but we had to fix sentences with "insulting" tone to one that's more "polite" in our lesson. I seem to be stuck in sentence tone repair mode)
First few days of my English course and I've actually learned something useful!
On Topic:
I like the idea to be honest. Sure there is always bookmark folder, but why not just share that bookmark folder with the community?
Only thing is that it is going to be a daunting task to rummage through the forums dead topics for all the useful tidbits.

text is difficult to portray tone. It was meant to be polite. I'm rubbish at finding the tone of text.

Re: Favorite box
Yeah, you've got to change the text itself to find the tone you want. Or put in a . They solve everything

I laughed.
To get this to happen wouldn't you need to talk to the tech guys at the forumotion help forum? I don't mean to offend them but i haven't known them to be to helpful unless they need to be.
Something tells me you would just get a reply about watching a topic and/or adding it to your favorites from people, maybe some post by a staff saying 'yes, try that' and nothing would happen.

I don't think there's much more to be said that's relevant to the topic to be honest...
