Your Dream Bass?

I'm surprised we don't already have a dream bass thread, what sort of bass forum is this without one?!
Post your dream bass, bass you want to get somewhere down the line, what bass you're thinking of getting next etc.

For me.. I'll probably get the Ibanez PIB1 Peter Iwers Signature bass somewhere in the near future.

Well - I don't know if I'd want to own a fretless j-bass (high maintenance), but I'd give a lot to jam on Jaco's "Bass of Doom".

That's another Shuker one, but a Fender one would be preferred. I think Telecasters look great....

Apart from that, a Rickenbacker!

My first and only bass is the Fender Squire Affinity j bass that comes in the starter package. The Ibanez SR405QM will be my next one and I hope to have it in about a month or so.

I've always been partial to a Musicman Stingray. But I'll tell you. My Squire Vintage Modified Jazz will always be Number 1 in my heart. Especially after I get that BadassII Bridge

My bud has that bass. It's nice, especially as a high class P-bass/J-bass combo. It's pretty damn bassy. Not much punch, but definitely a great bass if your into more traditional sound.

It's a good bass.


As for me, I only really want one bass right now; a J-bass, even if it's just an SX or something. I demoed an SX, and it sounded great.

I'm using an OLP MM-3 right now (with only 4 strings, but w/e), and it has terrific punch. It sounds amazing with new strings, and I'm pretty happy with it. Subsidiaries aren't bad...

Yeah, but that J-bass just has that nice, smooth sound.

I need to get out to play some more basses but the only place somewhat near me is an hour away in the guitar megamart of America, Guitar Center. There I did find the bass that some of my favorite bassists play which sounded absolutely amazing.

Id go for one of those fancy pickguards they have, the black ones with the swirls and that.

I'd go with a custom design some cool ideas for the body, stealth-black with silver swirls. P- and J-pickups, a neck that's a little thicker than usual and a truss rod I actually have the imbus for XD
