Slap, pop, SNAP!!!!

So while I was practicing the slap and pop lesson tonight, I guess I got a bit to into it and my g string (hahaha) snapped. Gave me a nice little cut too. Guess it was time to replace the strings anyway. Is this a common thing to happen?

woah, how old were your strings? if they were quite old it's easier explained.
It's uncommon to break strings, but does happen every so often.

I've broken a G and a D before. It's bound to happen eventually

Remember one broken string is an excuse for a brand new more expensive set that don't break. Remember to relay that to the wife

Well I put a set of elixir's on, not too bad. We'll see how long they last.

It really sucked though, I bought a lighter pair of rotosounds than I'm use to, just to see how they would feel, after 30min of playing SNAP! There goes my new G string... it was a sad day.
