im in a band!....sorta lol

so yea im joining the music team at church (yes church deal with it) so i guess im in a band lol its pretty cool playing with a drummer and stuff for the first time im loving it currently learning songs and start on the roster in front of the church in april

Personally, I'm not to keen on religion/churches and all that, but I totally am for bands! Most of the things I've learned, I've learned playing together with other people. It gets your playing more tightly and increases your musical knowledge and improv skills and whatnot

Gospel has some of the most talented musicians out there.

I'm not much of a religious person either, but thats how I started as well. Playing and practicing with other people is soooo much more fun, and better for you than practicing by yourself. Hands down helped me out a lot. Hope you enjoy it!

Only thing I ever played with a bandish group of people is MJ's Billie Jean.

Yeah the youth club I go to has christian owners(I think), upstairs theres an electric drumkit, a normal drumkit, 2 basses, a 5 string and a 4 string and ALOT of amps. Maybe 15 and most have at least 4 inputs. Plus the guy who runs it is an awesome bassist and guitarist.

thats sweet as! our church has a pretty good stage set up but im not allowed to fiddle with the settings cos the guy whould get angry at me lol

Yeah its nice, but we havent been allowed to that area in awhile because the last time everyone went up there, the place was left in a state, and someone broke the footpedal. Even though the guy who did it offered to replace it they guy who organises still wont let us go up there

But I think next week we (people with instruments) are allowed up again, because im playing a song with someone for their music GCSE and we need to practise.

We're learning this btw.

dam that must suck, were pretty good me and the drummer just jam while everyone else is practising the song lol there real simple so we can play them easy. and that bass rife was alright, not a green day fan myself

Im not a Green day fan myself either, but thats what was picked and I dont exactly HATE them. And it is fun to play...
