crazy rap (colt 45) bassline

just heard this song on the tinterweb. i dont care much for the song but the bassline is pretty sweet. tis my new thing to learn me thinks... goin to try do it by ear, tho im still suckish at playing by ear. any ideas how i can get better at playing by ear?
