headphones and ear health
there's alot of stuff going around these days about head phones being bad for your ears. obviously if play an instrument your ears are a valuable asset to have. so i was just wondering what people think is the appropiate noise level of duration of using them.

My view-
If its good for you to hear, turn it down just a bit.
If its turned down low enough you hear people around you, turn it up just a bit.
I also have earbuds that make a seal around my ears so i hear less of whats around me, makes life easier on me.

I'd have to agree with what Blackdragon said. Plus having ear/head phones that actually go around your ear or block sound are always a good thing. When your in crowded areas with a lot of annoying people it can be so hard not to just crank the music, and leave all of them behind

Noise-isolating/around ear headphones are always good. I've found myself walking off the bus and then wincing at how loud my ipod is. definitely be careful with your ears.

I've got Senheisser HD215's very comfy. I got them cos they were recommended by dj's for exdended use. They completely cover your ears so they keep out quite a lot of outside noise.
