Hello everyone i am new to the site and just picked up my first bass. I am really excited to start and practice and all that goods stuff. i already play alto sax for 5 or 6 years. Flea also inspired me to play bass i really like red hot chili peppers and Dman's lessons were just the extra kick in the ass to finally pick it up.

Haha it's sir. man i am really passionate about doing this but i can't get the calluses fast enough, actually got to the point where my fingers started to bleed so im down and out for a little bit i suppose.

id suggest something like the vari-grip or gripmaster. both have calluses builders execpt you pay extra for the gripmaster calluses caps, but the gripmaster works better than the vari-grip.

(ps: its either spelled varigrip or verigrip i cant remember)

i wish i was american coz then i could say 'hood instead of vicinity - although, having typed that, i quite like the word vicinity. well, i like typing it anyway.

My favorite word by a distance is, naturally as I might add, Floccinaucinihilipilification, which I use everyday, of course.

I though vicinity ment like a certain area or something?

it wasn't bad untill the whole vicinity makes my fingers happy thing.

to me i find typing long messeges or words quite annoying, plus my computer turns itself off at the most unexpected times, like 5 minutes ago.
