So yeah I'm finally getting round to fixing my first bass. Nut fell off. What shall I use to stick it back on? Just regular superglue, or will I need something stronger?

A drop of Loctite should be more than enough I reckon. Don't forget that it's also held down by the strings, once they're on.

The nut cracked on my first bass, and I replaced it with part of a wooden chopstick. Terrible idea. ;(

Just be careful with it! It dries very fast, so make sure you're quick at lining it up! Another thing, it doesn't dry clear - try not to get any excess or you'll have some sanding to do. Wink

It'd probably be better to put glue on nut first, rather than the neck. If you put the glue directly to the wood, it may get absorbed and not stick as well.

Finally, don't get any large blobs on your skin. Burns like hell. :>

IT'S ALIIIIIIIIVE

Well, no it's not, it's just fixed. Yay. Bit of buzzing from the electronics though, better get rid of that.
