My starter stuff sucks!

I know its not built for quality but i got a new cable to connect my amp to the bass and the sounds difference was incredible!, was just a normal £4.50 ( $8 ) lead. So much better.

Just wanted to mention how mcuh better the sound quality is now ^^

I'm still chuggin' along with my starter cable. Is it unusual for the cable in the starter package thing to be a gold plated one? More importantly, does it make any difference whether it's gold plated or not? Never heard of the company mind, Ki-Sounds or something.

Only difference is the cable has metal bits around that u can screw to tighten it, i was just making the point that I didnt know the starter cable would be so bad compared to the one i bought from my local music shop.

Yeah, mine's got them metal bits too, it only seems to make a difference whether they're tightened or not on one end of the cable, where if you unscrew it too much sound will stop happening Smile

it would make sense for gold to sound better considering it is the best conductor.

Unfortunately my cable doesn't have any gold on it, although it would be freakin awesome! Not sure if the cable used to connect bass to amp is called something different in Canada btw, called a jack cable whenever I see it Smile

It's called an "Instrument Cable" or "Instrument Lead".
