That sliding thing works the same on a fretted bass

From what I've seen and heard, playing a fretless is all about feeling. It seems that you have the hang of it pretty well, whenever you miss a note you just slide along with the song and the mistake is covered up and sounds like it's perfect. The sound is also fantastic

Yea it's nice, but believe me. You need to be really good at a fretted bass first. Also you need a really well developed sense and feeling of moving across the fretboard. I've tried a few fretlesses, it's a lot harder than it looks. Or is that just me?

Having had a shufty on t'internet I've just found out that you can slide harmonic notes on a fretless.

If you sound the harmonic as usual then immediately press down and slide up the harmonic will still ring and follow the slide without sounding the fretted note mmmmmm - sexyyyyy!!!

I really don't know if I could bring meself to be on camera erk! The missus is quite enthused about the whole affair of course she gets to use her new compact video camera to do it with - I keep tellin her it's no excuse but she's not havin it aarrgh!

WELL.. Once I get stuff sorted out so I can record the sound as well as video I promise I will and I'll play It'll prolly take a good few months to record something I'm happy with...(hate being on cam and .... I kinda suck lol )

So will that being said... I think you should let your wifey use her cam XD
