Introduce yourself!

I have the Korg. I don't like not being able to tune to Drop D, but that's only a minor complaint. It does its job and it does it well.

Hit the 'flat' button twice, so that there's two small b's on the left hand side of the screen. Then tune the E string down, until it says 4E. That's actually drop D Just remember to press the flat button a few more times, until the b's dissapear before tuning the other strings. It's a little awkward, which is why I prefer the Qwik Tune one - it tells you what note you're in.

Ah, cheers, I fiddled around with the flat buttons once but couldn't make head nor tail of it. Now it just seems so obvious... oh well, now I can play Cornman

I've got the Korg CA-30.
It's a chromatic tuner so its easy to get to any tuning you want and it was the same price as the guitar/bass tuner.

Yeah what's the difference between these two exactly?Is it like P or J basses?

Actually yeah one has a sweeter sound the other one is more punchy and low

its a lot longer cause obviously its a bass
me thinks the body is a bit bigger also but im not 2 sure XD

Alto refers to the range of notes it can play. Like Soprano, Tenor, Alto, Baritone, Bass.



And also my acoustic bass is much bigger than most acoustic guitars.

I'm probably buying an alto one next year

Hey, I'm Mike, i've been playing bass since, saturday or so... so yea, complete newbie. I got into bass by looking up solo's - it just happened that the sound of the bass hit me harder then any of the drums or leads. So i looked online abit and ended up making my way around and finding here. I plan to be online often, and not just because im sure to have 100 questions to spit out once i buy an amp and the things start confuseing the shit out of me.
Other then the bass, i also like video games, reading, and just talking to friends. Pretty boreing from there.
I hope i dont bug the crap out of you all too much with my questions get to meet every one of you nice people.(yea, i covered that one)

Once i start getting the feel of the place, i'll start posting more... Oh yea, i'm also Canadian, felt like that was importent.

Doesnt matter if its over rated. people still play it no? still only takes 10 seconds to find a game, and in general, its a good game. maybe not the best, but its still great.

I agree, it's your average shooter, yet some fanboys will try rape your face if you refuse to put it in a genre of its own. I feel alot of the fans ruin the game.

In terms of games, i don't play racing games, and i'm fairly picky in my FPS... I play most every other genre. I'm fairly big on the Atlus brand, the FF titles, Soul Calibur, Zelda, God of War, StarFox, and Fire Emblem.
Currently i have 94 games, 2 are N64, and the rest are PS1+
I had about 50+ for the N64 and preN64 systems but they were stolen(along with every system) a while back while people were helping us move.

I hope they do go ahead and make another Conker's Bad Fur Day, and/or the sequel.

Wow, Conker's Bad Fur Day... Thats a game me and my brother used to play for hours, i haven't played it in years... as you can guess its one of the missing titles.
I loved that one mini game where one guy trys to reach some gates and the other has to try and kill him from a tower before he gets their... i was allways stuck being the guy who was running.

Well,halo is not for everyone.Some find it stupid and overrated,others great,good etc.Personally halo and half life(all) are my favourite first person games.Yes COD and Crisis are a nothing in front of these two.I also love strategy,Rpg.Action,andadventure games.So much.
