Re: pronunciation of "ibanez"?
Around Serbia it is pronounced as /i'banez/. That "a" is the really short like in "up", and the "e" is also short like in "extra".
Although, here around the norther area of Serbia, some pronounce it like /iba'ne:z/, but that's due to Hungarian influence.

Re: pronunciation of "ibanez"?
I've always gone with eye-ben-ez. That's how people seem to understand it here atleast, if someone said "ee-ban-ez" they'd probably just get laughed at and told otherwise.

It doesn't matter what's right. This is at the Toe-may-toe, Toe-mah-toe point where it won't do any good to know how it's actually supposed to be pronounced.

I always pronounced Minotaur mine-oh-tore, even after hearing loads of people say mihn-a-tore I still pronounce it mine-oh-tore. Ibanez isn't going to be any different

Re: pronunciation of "ibanez"?
From the wikipedia..
(Ibanez (pronounced /ˈaɪbænɛz/ or /aɪˈbænɛz/) is a Japanese guitar brand owned by Hoshino Gakki)
So that would be Eye-be-nez then..
Apparently in 1929 Hoshino Gakki were importing Salvador Ibanez guitars (presumably pronounced then I-ban-eth) from Spain.
When the Salvador Ibanez workshop was destroyed in the Spanish Civil War, Hoshino Gakki bought the rights to the name and started to produce Salvador Ibanez spanish acoustic guitars in 1935, the name was later shortened to just Ibanez.
Given that the Japanese language structure is so completely different to Western Latin based languages I would think that Eye-ben-ez is the most likely pronunciation with Ib-an-eth being the pronunciation when Salvador Ibanez was the sole producer in Spain.
Gosh - I did go on a bit there didn't I?
