I bought a litre bottle of acetone to clean up some super glue. Then i noticed, hey wait a minute, this shit dissolves fat/oils. So i tried cleaning my strings with it and it works well good. Sound very much like new and it took about 5 mins. Just take them off, wipe them with a cloth soaked in acetone and your good to go
