You should totally defret the bass
take the frets out, then sand it down. take down the action a bit.
and VIOLA
A fretless bass =D

Well as long as it's bolt on you can pretty easily take off the neck. I don't think necks are the same size though, but if you have some sort of wood filler or bits of wood and woodglue to fill in the gaps and then you paint over it should be fine.

Also lets see some pics of this bass! Very Happy

The bass you see in my avatar is a cheap Peavey Milestone bass, but I built the pickguard out of chrome diamond plate. I also added a seymour duncan hotstack to replace the bridge pickup, and tilted the tuner knobs to 45(ish) degrees. No other bass in the world like it. It's real easy to customize, you just have to be creative. I used a minimal amount of stickers, too, but they don't really look like stickers.

Then like what? Like huge, green with purple monsters with teeth which are 2 metres long?

Sorry, just had to post that.
Do you have a clearer picture, because I can't see it all... Sad

Dreaming.

This is all I could dig up. You can see the pickguard at least. Never mind the ugly man.
