Just bought myself a new toy

A Boss ODB-3 Overdrive-pedal, to be accurate. God, it's awesome



Now all I need is an amp, the one I was using (borrowing) died on itself again. Seems to be a death of the permanent kind, too.

ah i use to have one but sold due to me just not needing it. If I needed overdrive it was up to the job so I would say its a good purchase

Boss pedals seem to last forever I recently resurrected a BE-5B multi effects pedal that had been sitting in my garage for about ten years. It still has lots of life left in it. And the good thing is...its all analogue. I find that the newer digital stuff either takes away some of the natural sound or it distorts too easily with unpleasant sounding results.

So it's a good pedal? I really like it, trying to find a good sound for playing Hysteria (by Muse). Need it for a gig-ish performance at school. Any suggestions for how I should set it? Tons of gain?

My BE-5b has the same overdrive circuitry built in to it I dont use it that much because I only play reggae...but saying that, I have played about with it and it can add some warmth and character to the tone by just adding a slight amount of OD. Play about with it until you get the sound that you are looking for.

You will appreciate it more when u get your amp.
