Name your Bass?

So i know the topic is relatively childish but it is a thing that many people do. Your bass is important to you and like a good car deserves a name. So i just want to ask what you guys have named your bass's if you have and why you have chosen that name.

P.S. I have named my Hulk because it is a greenish with a purplish pick guard. Looks a lot better then it sounds .

We do, yes. I forgot what I named my bass originally, so I'll re-christen it D'Angelo after one of my favourite characters on The Wire

Mine has numerous names depending on how I'm feeling and how the sessions have gone most of which I couldn't possibly mention here in this polite community of bassests we have here

I strangely enough tend to call my Bass Zurab Khizanishvili

Well I have a piece of crap bass that I got just so I could start learning and I took it to school often to practice.As you may know,if you take it to school everyone asks what kind it is.Well since It's not a name brand and I never knew what to say,my friend said to everyone it's THE JACOB BASS.Yes,he said it in all caps.And soo I guess my bass is named Jacob,after myself of course.Other than that I don't care too much about naming things.

I have only named one of my basses and its an old Burgundy Jazz bass that has no brand at all on it its got to be at least 20-30 years old, its also my most treasured bass.

My bass is called Elisabeth. That's because she look's almost the same as the Mio's bass from K-on (K-on is an anime (Japanese cartoon) about a few school girls who start a band). Mio's bass is also called Elisabeth... So, I named mine after it.

My bass is named "Flea", tho am not into funk so much anymore It was a self-bet that my first bass will be named flea

I call my bass "You cheap piece of garbage" mostly these days.

but I am planning on becoming a female version of Flea (aaand he's actually the only bass player I know by name because I am blonde and a retard and only started two days ago with erm, practicing my flea, but shhhhhhhh don't tell anyone please xD

My dad has 5 basses I'll ask him if they've got names when I see him, but I'm afraid he thinks naming things is silly.
Names things is NOT silly, it is awesome. Even my toes have names. Bye now.

You should look more into bass players and different styles, sticking with only a single favourite will limit you a lot. Who knows, maybe you've a mini-Claypool inside you, waiting to burst out? Like in the "Alien" movies?

Actually, that would be really gross and cool at the same time. I wouldn't know of I should be honored or pissed being killed by Claypool bursting out of my stomach.
