Trouble letting go (of the string).
First of all, it's my first post here, so hi all .
I've just picked up my bass three days ago and it's going quite well I think. I followed a couple of your lessons and I'm starting to get the hang of the song "stand by me" you explained on your Youtube channel. However I've ran into a small problem, each time I let go of a string without muting it it briefly buzzes between my finger and the fret, it's coming trough the amp and is getting quite annoying.
Do I simply have to let go of the fret quicker or is it a setup problem?
EDIT: It's especially loud on the A string from the highest (sounding) fret to the ninth.

You need to let go quicker, I think. Try doing that first (make sure you lift your fingers and don't slide down the fret first!) and if that doesn't work, it's a setup problem.

I assume you fretting in the edge of the fret and not in the middle! That could make you buzz!

Re: Trouble letting go (of the string).
Fretting closer to or in the middle didn't make a difference in buzzing, it was a combination of letting go too slowly and simply having the amp volume set too low. Because of the low volume I was playing harder than necessary. Turning up the amp and just touching the strings instead of pulling on them did the trick.
Now back to learning bass, see if I can improve my accuracy a bit, because at the moment it's horrible
