The Epi isn't cheap either, although it is cheaper than the Gibson
Yeah this is the Thunderbird Pro, the normal one is pretty cheap but the Pro is supposed to be better

Same with the above Rockbass. It's not cheap, but it's hella cheaper than the Warwick model.

Re: Your GAS List!
I've got an Epiphone Thunderbird - to be honest, I wouldn't recommend them at all, although the new pro models seem to have improved vastly upon the problems I had with it (sound, and the bridge mainly). If you're considering getting one, I'd say try one first - I didn't try mine first and it ended up putting me off bass playing.
& the Marcus Miller - that's my next bass.....

Yeah I've been hearing mixed reviews of T-Birds but yet to see one of the Pro model & the only trouble with trying one is getting hold of one to try I haven't so much as seen one other than on the net :/Smaz wrote:I've got an Epiphone Thunderbird - to be honest, I wouldn't recommend them at all, although the new pro models seem to have improved vastly upon the problems I had with it (sound, and the bridge mainly). If I'm not happy with it I might E-bay it and try and recoup my loss
and @DTL My thoughts exactly, plus I kinda prefer the look of the epi pro sunburst to the gibson

Re: Your GAS List!
As far as "exotic" basses, I'm drooling over the Rick 4003 and the Aria SB-CB.
But my next purchase(which I'm making on Tuesday) is this sweetie:
The SX SPB-62 Fretless 3TS is what they call it. In other words a knockoff fretless '62 P-Bass. I've heard nothing but good about SX, they sell basses under $150 that play like a $400 bass. A good friend of mine ordered their 5-string fretted model several months ago and he loves it, so that's good enough for me. It may very well need to be professionally set later, but SX basses are extremely dependable for their price, so I expect no serious trouble from it.

High five! You can find them used for around £500 pretty easily, which is a steal. Should have one within a month or two
...If my GAS doesn't change again
