Any Christian rock players

Hi folks I became a Christian 3 years ago, I lived 60 miles from Detroit on the Canadian side, so Motown and rock music were my influences. So when I became a Christian I was immediately attracted to Christian rock,I also play in the worship band at church,being a newbie to the bass, i was thrown right into the fire, thank God for chord sheets lol. Anyway I am wondering if there are any other folks that have heard good Christian rock, or you may have some good tips for me. Thanks Glenn

I'm not into Christian rock at all, but I know of a band called Skillet... Never listened to them though

Don't really care about religions or religious music but there is some good exceptions that i like... older Mortification, Dust Eater Dogs and Paramaecium.

I'M really not into religious music and stuff,but two very good christian metal bands as from what i've heard are underoath,and as i lay dying.Also demon hunter i think.

Well i was surprised too,at the start when i first saw that about as i lay dying(i was searching some black metal bands in wikipedia while the genre christian metal suddenly appeared )but i always confuse them with other metalcore bands.For example sometimes i think it is bring me the horizon,all that remains,atreyu,heaven shall burn(but i immediatelly erase them from my mind because of the name ).And the thing is that i don't even listen to these bands!

Yeah, there actually are quite a few christian hardcore bands out there.

A few I can name of the top of my head...

The Devil Wears Prada
Underoath
As I lay Dying
Haste The Day

I'm sure if you just check out like wikipedia or even just google christian rock bands you'll find something you'll like!

yh i can defenatly recommend demon hunters.
undying is my favourite

I play for my local church in a youth band. I would not call me the serious christain type though, or the moderate.

Yeah I'm a Christian of a few years now! Live in Norfolk UK and absolutley love Christian rock/thrash!
There are tons of bands out there. My faves are Bride/Mortification/Rez/Tourniquet/Steve Taylor/Leviticus/As I lay Dying/Barren Cross/Stryper/Bloodgood/Demon Hunter/Detritus/Die Happy/Deliverance/Disciple.....
The list goes on.

@Christianwelder: i've been a christian for about 5yrs (salvo) and im the same execpt im more punk rock/rock /screamo than anything.

casting crowns
third day
anberlin
flyleaf
POD
MXPX

i could go on forever but definately try third day and the last 3. MXPX is old school so yeah its pretty awesome though

Depends on what your definition of "Christian Band" is.

i wanna know how many females are on here. and yes aussies will take over this forum. byfar it has been the most productive and most informative. also very relaxing to come to at least here ill know i have an answer to stuff.
