Tickets at the O2 in Islington (London) in March!
Any of you fellow brits wanna get some tickets, amd we'll have a meet up!
Or if any of you other worldy friends wanna fly over.....would be cool (my friend flew over to say hello to me, and watch Primus a few years ago, lol....oh, and had a bass lesson! )

Heh. Islington,
Had to have a chuckle there, theres a Islington here, too. Except the name is associated with Prostitution, cause theyre EVERYWHERE, young ones, old ones, skinny ones, fat ones, pregnant ones. theyre everywhere.
So now thats over with.
Wish I could go. But Im not a hardcore enough fan to fly over there..

The transport from the N/W would cost as much as the ticket, crying shame I can't afford it

Sweet, Jesus! Something just occured to me!
Probably best that people were 18 or over if they were gonna come! I wouldn't wanna be called one of "them"...!
Nothing personal to you younger guys. But hopefully you can see where I'm coming from.

lol yea you just set up this site and all the bass lessons on youtube to lure under age boys. Offering sweets and a lift home is so last century.

Re: Just got my Les Claypool tickets!
I have been thinking this over and over and over last night and damn this would be awesome.
Also i should have some vacation days that i havent used so this trip could be possible. Only thing is to get cheap flights and maybe somekinda roof over head but but but i really have to ask around stuff and also think couls i stay long weekend or week or so on uk. And also do bit counting how much money i would have to save and so on.

well finland is expensive compared to here, in terms of everything except cigarettes lol. like a can of cider would be a 1/3 of the price compared to Tampare (is that how you spell it? the 2nd biggest city in finland?) and there are a few very small B&Bs around the islington area

Yea, its Tampere. =)
Seems that this really could be possible. flights should be around 100€ there and back, tickets were 20£ or something like that, so it comes only about that hostel/bed & breakfast/someones couch/floor/under sink/something.

Re: Just got my Les Claypool tickets!
Well, it all happened!
MTS came over from Finland, and we hooked up. He's a very cool guy. I showed him some local stuff on Sunday, and then we went over to the Towers for a jam . I'm gutted we didn't get to spend more time hanging out, but it was cool anyway! I hope Mas (MTS) didn't find us too intense...!

and here we are!

On Monday we travelled to London to see Les Claypool play at the KOKO club (my favourite venue in London). It was a great gig. He did a couple of Primus covers as well as some sausage stuff, and holy mackeral stuff. It was Les being Les, and was everything I expected.
What I didn't expect, though, was the quality of the support band. They were BRILLIANT. All of them. Really unique and odd sound. Everyone should definatly check them out (especially if you like Mr Bungle!) Here's their myspace:
Hot head show
