Song of the Week!

As suggested by willba, how about we all learn a specific song, and post a video (or just audio, for those who don't have a webcam but can record still!) of our playalong, to teach, inspire & comment/help each other on learning various songs.

I'm going to hide the threads in the 'Learn to Play' section, but if it takes off, then maybe add a new section for it... Threads will have SOTW prefix, for Song of the Week

Should we have some rules so the thread isnt clogged?

cause if you put a song up, and theres 12 posts of people talking about it, then comes videos and stuff. We could PM the people with suggestions, but thats no good over all in the forum, esp cause 12 people could say the same thing..

Providing people can link their post to who's video they're commenting on, it would be ok I doubt we'll have too many video responses to be honest, but it's worth a shot!

I think this means we need a new way of deciding which song the song of the week will be..

We could nominate 5 songs, all of different genres and then vote on it, should all be of a similar difficulty otherwise some people will find it too hard, intermidiate im guessing is best

I just picked a random song, something that wasn't too hard & that people might know...

I'll open a suggestions thread, but I'm not sure if voting etc. would be wise - we only have a week between songs, we'd need to suggest them, vote for them etc., and it would distract from the song learning itself Lemme think on that one for a while....

Yeah,but he had the japanese,and italians,bulgarians and turks.Also his attack was a bit sneaky,so the reaction wasn't on time.When he took poland noone actually cared

Can anyone post SOTW or SOTF if it hasnt been done?

maybe we could have it that every week one person gets to choose three songs from a certain genre, one easy, one medium difficulty and one hard.

Yeah, and we gotta actually do it instead of talking then forgetting

Do a list of people who want to do it then, the genre they want to do. Then we will arrange it so theres a different genre every week.
