Post your songs?
Was just thinking it would be good if we posted the tabs of any songs/riffs we have written ourselves , would be nice to learn the songs of people who arent multimillionaires because of it.
I bet some of the catchiest bass riffs around are what someone made up once upon a time ....

Re: Post your songs?
Wow, I've been mentioned in a list of names of forum members for the first time evermaxf13 wrote:*looks at smaz/drakon/max/dman/dtl*
Hm, kinda different than this though... That thread was more for posting your own lessons of other peoples songs...BlackF89 wrote:link
I conclude that this thread has not previously been invented! Now we need people with cool riffs...

Post your songs?
Unless someone took my riff, and it became a classic due to the awesome bass line, i dont really mind someone using it, I dont think ill make a riff to be worthy of a hit song anyway

Re: Post your songs?
Protected forums, anyone? We could have our riffs in a special forum only accesible for Cult of the Lamius members

Re: Post your songs?
Well you're right there, but I mean it's like the same way dman doesn't teach his songs

Re: Post your songs?
Yea, thats the truth. Basslines can be changed "slightly", and they become completely different!
I teach Snow, and I charge for it. This is because when I first started up on youtube, I had a lesson on a bass-only song I had written. Someone learnt it, recorded it, and then uploaded it as their own song. I tried to make people aware about this, but he blocked me on YT. I was only small on youtube back then, and he had a lot of subscribers. I didn't have guys like you all that could have backed me up...
Was a lesson learnt.
I know it's the internet, but I can sincerely say that I trust you regulars to this forum, though. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't sell each other out.

Re: Post your songs?
Yeah i know you teach snow and hallelujah(jeff buckley bass version) too
I trust the guys in here too,but i remember you saying that this forum is free for anyone to see without signing up,i'm not against this,in the contrast i think it's better being visible to anyone, but if you're gonna post a riff, hell i don't know what might happen.

Re: Post your songs?
Yea, i justified doing the Hallelujah lesson, because it's an orginal way to play it, that I had never seen before...
Thats a good point btw. I could make the forum closed to non-members?

Just make a new forum which only "Cult of the Lamius or members" will be able to see. They then shouldnt be visable to guests.

Re: Post your songs?
Yeah,or you know we could get the 20 - 30 most active members and allow them acces to this thread. If someone less active wants to post something then we're gonna find something to do

Or there could be another group: Regulars. I don't know how we could mix that with COTL, but it's an idea.
And yes Dman, it's possible!

I asume u r the colour of the group u were most recently accepted to, isnt Dman in the 'Moderators' group and COTD?

Re: Post your songs?
I'm sure there's some sort of forum mod for this kind of thing I'm sure Smaz knows, he seems savvy to this kind of thing

Re: Post your songs?
I wouldn't mind helping figure out when people had 100+ posts or w/e, so no issue on getting help.
Just the only problem with 100+posts is people will have more of an incentive to spam which = bad.
I think it should just be a seperate group, where you recieve an unanimous invite from the group moderator when they feel you are trustworthy.

Re: Post your songs?
Well
We could be VIPs, that way, the subforum can be called 'The VIP lounge'
Perhaps?
Then make the group there, add who we think should be in it, and later add people who ask/seek permission to enter its unholy gates =D
