Just started playing again

Hey guys,

I just recently picked up my bass again after many years. Let me fill you in on a little bit about my self, I was in the army for about 6 years and during this time I got hurt in Iraq. Due to my injuries I have lost a lot of my long term memory. In short my doc wants me to start doing things I used to enjoy when I was young to kind of jog my memory. Any suggestions on where to start? I do not have money for lessons, I can remember a few partial bass lines but thats about it.

Welcome to the forum Scott! Sorry to hear about your injuries Good to see that you've come back to the fun of playing bass, though. A good place to start would be going through Dman's lesson videos on his website or on the 'All the bass lessons!' forum in the 'Learn to Play' section

The thread called "Post your own lessons!" is a nice place to learn things as well.
