Reading Music.
Hi,
I hope you know the song "Portrait of Tacy" By Jaco
well i have the music sheet and the first is G which should be 5th fret of D (All Harmonics) but some guy on facebook said "its 5th fret on high G coz actually the first note is a G two octaves above" i really didn't get that! the note isn't same! :/ can someone explain?

I don't know the song, but it sounds like he either meant high D or is talking out his ass

Re: Reading Music.
I think he means the G on the D string after the 12th fret, the seventeenth fret, which is the same G as the 5th only an octave higher, or something like that?

If you're playing harmonics, then the G harmonic is found at the 5th fret on the G string. I know the song, but I didn't attempt to learn to play it, so I can't be sure as to how it actually goes.
