I think you definatley need new strings - the sound you have is so quiet, and a little hard to pick out. New strings would be much louder & pack a punch. Worth the investment!

Yeah i've got 3 sets of D'addario 55-110's on the way from america, hope they'll get here this week..
I've had my current cheapo set on for about 1.5 months now, they're covered in dirt and they've been stretched to standard and back to drop c so many times now..

I've been playing 5 months now although the first month doesnt really count because i only had a cheap $100 bass that - compared to my ibanez - was messed up somethin' fierce.

I tried adding more volume to my bass when i recorded that vid, but it just sounded worse.

p.s I only learnt that tab yesterday so i still need to get the timing down
