That Vox Amplug - any good? I've seen them, but not sure how well they'd work with bass, and if it'd be worth it when I go to my FX pedal, then headphones into that. But it would save a lot of wires & space!

Yeah, I got one very recently (for recording... )and it is good. The sound quality is a lot better than my practice amp (even with headphones). I'm not sure what the tone dial is for though. Doesn't appear to make much impact on the sound to me but then again I haven't experimented with it much.

I recommend it. Great bass, but bad preamp. You have to make adjustments on your amp instead of your bass, but that's about the only downside.

I don't know how much it would cost in a store, I got it for christmas.

I often use it with effects, and it sounds perfect. Great little piece of equipment and not very expensive.

If you want to use it with effects, the setup would be:
