I agree with this for the most part. The only song on Death Magnetic that I can stand to listen to though, is Unforgiven III because I feel I have an obligation to complete the trilogy.

I don't know if any of you listen to Burst, but their album Lazarus Bird came out in '08 and I'd say it's definitely worth a listen in general, more so if you like prog.

Blitzkid's Anatomy Of Reanimation Vol. 1, Agalloch's The White, Bauhaus's Go Away White, and Korpiklaani's Korven Kuningas also made my list of good 2008's.

Shinedown's Sound of Madness was a FOUNTAIN OF DISAPPOINTMENT, imho.

Like, Bleeding Through's Declaration was pretty good, and I guess some would say Protest The Herp's Fortress was good [if anyone apart from me actually liked them >.<] and After the Burial's Rareform was good too..

It wasnt as good as LD50, but Mudvaynes new album was pretty cool, too
I think Paramore's Riot was in 2008, too.
And rise against's Appeal to Reason
And, well, Slipknots new album was.. okay.. I mean, Snuff was a masterpeice, but the rest of it was awfully.. yeah
And Secret and Whispers album was pretty cool

AND SCALE THE SUMMIT'S CARVING DESERT CANYONS <3

Then Bullet for my Valentine and Trivium went and ruined it for everyone.
And the Human Abstract album was all full of disapointment
Hell, Bullet ruined it in January, they wanted everyone to know that the year was ruined XD
And that Pink album. Ugh, I hate her so much. Horrible.

After writing, it seems that 2008 was actually pretty good 0.0
