It helps to know what key you're in so the melody people can write nice melodies.

Re: FORUM MULTIBASS COLLAB!!
The minor scale structure if I'm correct 5 ( probaly not) would be for C
C= root
D= 2nd
Eb= b3rd
F= 4th
G=5th
A=6th
B=7th
C= octave.
C= root
D= 2nd
Eb= b3rd
F= 4th
G=5th
A=6th
B=7th
C= octave.

You're close, the C minor scale is actually C, D, Eb, F, G, Ab, Bb, C

Re: FORUM MULTIBASS COLLAB!!
(Sorry about this heckling)
Funny that I havent bumped into the modes until I got something to do with bass.
I guess "lydian" implies minor?
Does "F lydian natural" exist, or does "lydian" also imply HARMONIC minor?
Where was that theory-section again?

I didn't see anyone answer this, so yea, its used in pop and kids music.
If your making something for jazz, i think Aolian would work.

Re: FORUM MULTIBASS COLLAB!!
Any mode would work, jazz is heavily chord based and sometimes really interesting in terms of progressions. Obviously using a different mode would capture a different mood. Depends on what key we're going to do really...

If it was winter maybe I could have the time too.
Nowadays I'm too darn busy - haven't got time to play for about a month.
Also the deeds outdoors keep my forearms from healing properly.

Well, I was kind of hinting that I'd be interested if I got the time, but in summer I tend to have about three times the amount of work I can do in one summer.
Like we say in finland: "the finnish summer is warm and there's very little snow", lol.
In winter there is not much else to do than plough the snow. Much more spare time.
In the southern hemisphere... ask the Tasmanians about seasons...

Lol, No offence meant in any way, shape or form but, as far as sayings go, that's one of the worst sayings I have ever heard.
